Quality Assurance Commission

The Quality Assurance Commission was established in compliance with §15b of the amendment to the 1987 Vienna Hospitals Act that came into force on 1 March 1995. It is based at the Anton Proksch Institute and serves as a strategic body, which means that it not only has an advisory function but also has implementation competence. It defines quality targets and strategies, appoints commission working groups, evaluates the results of their work and ensures that these are implemented.
