Academy

The Anton Proksch Academy was established as an operational area in its own right alongside the clinical centre and the research facilities with a view to coordinating advanced training and development opportunities at the Anton Proksch Institute.

are responsible for educating the public about the prevention of drug abuse and health awareness, addiction, mental health problems and the de-stigmatisation of addicts.
 

The Academy’s board of directors is made up of Prim. Univ. Prof. Dr. Michael Musalek and DSA Gabriele Gottwald-Nathaniel, MAS; coordination work is carried out by Dr. Helma Liebich-Schnabel and Dr. Martin Poltrum.
 

The Academy holds accreditation as a further training institute from the Austrian Chamber of Physicians. Doctors who take advanced training courses at the Academy receive credits for the Chamber’s continuing medical education programme (DFP points). Psychologists receive advanced training points pursuant to §13 of the Psychologists Act.
