In order to satisfy the high demands placed on modern addiction facilities, administration, planning and project management at the Anton Proksch Institute must always focus on ensuring the highest standards of counselling, care and treatment for patients, that (re-)integrative measures are taken into consideration and implemented, that this finds adequate expression in the staff development policy for all occupational groups, and that appropriate internal and external controlling and reporting systems are implemented.
However, consideration also needs to be given to quantitative realities, especially the availability of financial resources and the provision of an adequate infrastructure.
Our goals include (re)defining hospital and (social) management, developing integrative forms of cooperation between the medical and administrative fields, streamlining all (administrative) structures and optimizing cross-departmental organisational units.
