1972 - 1975: Training as a registered psychiatric nurse at the Otto Wagner hospital in Vienna.

1991: Training as a teacher for first aid and reanimation, Young Red Cross Vienna

1997 – 1999: University course for preparatory instruction in psychotherapy, University of Vienna

2002: Middle management training programme

2004 - 2005: University course for senior nurses, graduating from the Lower Austrian State Academy in Mödling as a qualified head nurse

Professional activities:

1975: Registered nurse at the surgical department of the Confraternity and at the first Medical Department of the General Hospital in Vienna

1977: Registered nurse at the Mautner Markhof Childrens Hospital – Department of Neonatology

1978 - 1980: Registered psychiatric nurse in a senior function at the outpatient clinic for psychiatry of the Wiener Gebietskrankenkasse

1984 - 1988: Head of the hospital wing of Mittersteig prison

1988 - 1991: Head of the infirmary at the Lycée Français de Vienne 

1992 – 2001: Registered psychiatric nurse at the Anton Proksch Institute
