Orpheus Module: Learning Centre

The Anton Proksch Institute Learning Centre offers a range of free courses. During their residential treatment patients can acquire a variety of useful skills that could help them (re-) enter or stay in employment. Course participants learn independently using a PC (Computer Based Training - Learning Software) and/or in small groups (workshops), supported by a qualified trainer.

Regular attendance at the Learning Centre enables students to acquire internationally recognised certificates. Courses can also be completed after residential treatment has finished.

The following courses are available:

• The European Computer Driving Licence for Beginners and Advanced users (ECDL Core, ECDL Advanced)
• Design of high-quality websites (OCG WebPublisher)
• Creative work on the computer, World Wide Web (WWW), graphics and multimedia (Adobe Photoshop CS3 PHP5 and MySQL, Adobe Design Premium CS3, Adobe Dreamweaver CS3, Adobe Flash CS3)
• Tipptrainer (touch typing training course on a PC keyboard)
• European Business Competence Licence (EBCL)
• Project management (planning, organisation and implementation of projects)
• Foreign language learning on the computer (English, French, Spanish, Italian and Russian) 

The facility is fully funded by the Vienna Employment Promotion Fund (WAFF) within the framework of the Territorial Employment Pact Vienna and by the Lower Austrian Employment Office.
