Orpheus Module: Movement therapy

Movement therapy is a key aspect of the Orpheus Programme at the Anton Proksch Institute. This form of therapy aims to help patients develop a positive approach to their own bodies, perceptiveness and mobility.

The movement modules aim to remind patients of their own resources and uncover their ability to access their individual potential for movement and thus for action that has temporarily been lost.

The movement therapy and sports programme includes the following activities:

  • Running
  • Morning activities
  • Nordic walking
  • Walking
  • Qi Gong
  • Body awareness training
  • Spinal gymnastics
  • Football
  • Training at the in-house fitness studio
